We are four women who are alike in some ways, but very different in others. We each have our own interests, talents, strengths, and weaknesses. We blog about our lives, what we love to do, and things we’ve learned throughout our lives. We hope you will join us. We love making new friends!
Crepes For A Romantic Dinner
I was introduced to crepes by my husband who lived in Belgium for two years. I was hooked. They are extremely versatile and can be served savory or sweet or both in the same meal. We’ve used them for special occasions because they are so very delicious, but they are so easy. Some people feel like they are too complicated, but it’s just the opposite. Give them a try! And because they are French doesn’t that make them a perfect idea for a romantic dinner or breakfast in bed?

It’s kind of a cloudy, drizzly day today. The kind where you want to stay home curled up in a blanket. I’ve heard we are supposed to get some snow but I haven’t seen anything yet. I hope it’s not much because we still have quite a bit since the last huge dumping weeks ago. Last weekend Brittany and I made the best of the snow and took the kids tubing. We had a lot of fun even though there were some bumps and scratches. Connor is quite the clown with a great sense of humor. He get’s it from his mom. Here’s the conversation that actually took place at the start of a race. Connor is 4.
Never a dull moment.
Chore Cards
Happy Monday Everyone!
Lately I have been having my girls do some chores around the house besides making their beds and putting their clothes away. It has not been as helpful as I was hoping it would be and most of the time it turns out to be a battle.
A friend of mine came up with this idea and I loved it so much I wanted to share.
I really hope this works better than our current system of mom yelling to get things done.
I included a printable for you. 1 for girls and 1 for boys.
What are some ideas you have for getting your kids to help around the house?
Puffy Hearts
How is it possible that January is almost over? I had always heard that the older you get the faster time goes. I’m beginning to think that’s true.
WOWZERS!
Anyway…..Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. I love this day. I hope you have as many wonderful people in your life as I do. They are the “loves” of my life. I want to celebrate each one of them and show them how much I love them. In the next few weeks I will share with you some of the things I will be doing.
I don’t know why but I’ve never had too many Valentine’s Day decorations. I suspect it’s because I have so many Christmas decorations and the last thing I want to do is decorate again. Do any of you feel the same way? So, this year I thought I would make something to put on my mantle; a little something to bring the spirit of love in my home.
DIY Art
Hello Readers!
Hope you had an awesome weekend. We sure did! NOT!!
We ALL got hit with that flu bug going around and it’s still not over. I have 4 kids staying home today.
Do you guys follow Maskara?
If you don’t you have been living in a hole! She is AMAZING!
Anyways, she posted this picture of some art in her office and I fell in love with it.
I wanted something similar for my twins room, so I came up with this.
I did it in gold, light pink and darker pink and cream. All I did was get some quarter-inch press board from home depot and got a yard stick and went around the board drawing lines in a star burst pattern. Then I hand painted all the triangles in whatever color I felt like I wanted it to be. I didn’t paint every triangle; I skipped some so some of the wood would come through. Then I sanded it down a bit so it was a little muted and not so contrasting.
I really love how it turned out. I know that sometimes I start a project and it turns out really crappy and I scrap the whole thing. Well, this one is a keeper!

It is going by so fast for me.
Well, this year I decided to get a jump-start on Valentine’s Day.
Family Pictures
We recently had some family pictures done and I just wanted to share (cuz I’m just sooo proud)!
First of all I want to thank our cute photographer Nikki, owner of Flying W Fotos. We have used her in the past and are thrilled with her work. I highly recommend her if you’re looking for a creative, easy to work with, and efficient photographer.
Here we are all together.

For several years in my career I was so fortunate to work in the craft and scrapbooking industry. I’ve been a Buyer for Robert’s Craft Stores and Memories Scrapbook Stores. I’ve also worked on the manufacturing side of a few scrapbook companies in various positions from design to customer service. As a Buyer I would review and analyze 100’s of products every day to come up with what I thought were the best products to sell in our stores. I am constantly keeping my eye on what the trends are and any new products that come out in the market. It’s fun for me because I also like to craft and DIY in my spare time. So, when I see new products coming out that I like or hear of a new company that is producing amazing product I want to shout it to the world and especially to our sweet blog followers and friends.
