Felt Heart Garland

DSC03755

Hello Readers!

I really hope you are all enjoying this month.

It is going by so fast for me.

Well, this year I decided to get a jump-start on Valentine’s Day.

I don’t go all out for Valentines, but I haven’t had a mantle to decorate before. So, I was so excited to be able to make it pretty for Valentine’s Day.

This project is SO easy!

Also, SUPER cheap! It cost me under $5.00 to make.

I purchased 2 sheets of red, cream, and white felt.

Also, 2 pieces of gold cardstock 12×12 scrapbook paper.

I cut them into 3 inch hearts and laid out a pattern I liked and then sewed them all together on my sewing machine.

I literally just fed hearts through the sewing machine and it worked awesome!

I did put the gold paper hearts back to back so the gold was showing on both sides in case the garland wanted to twist around. (I didn’t want ugly white paper showing)

That’s it!

I told you! So easy and cheap!

I will post a picture of the whole mantle once I get things the way I want and add some more projects.

  1. This looks so simple! I rarely decorate for holidays other than the Fall season and Christmas. This year I have been wanting to try smaller things to add to my decor for V-day, St. Patties, and the 4th. I will have to try this. I love the lace that accomplices this as well. Glad to have found your site!
