Halloween Pennant Flag DIY

Can you believe summer is almost over? Before long we are going to be celebrating the holidays. Today I’ve got Halloween on the mind because I’m participating in a fun event called Craft Lightning Halloween where lots of amazing bloggers are sharing some quick and easy Halloween craft ideas.

My quick craft is this “31” Halloween pennant flag that would be cute hanging on your front door or on a knob on a dresser or cabinet. I placed mine on the wall among some other Halloween decor.

Buffet Makeover

Buffet Makeover

We recently moved into a new home and even though I would love to be able buy new furniture for the whole place I just can’t afford doing that. I do have some great pieces of furniture like this buffet and it’s been fun to makeover the look of what I already have to fit into the farmhouse theme I’m going for.

Recently there was a challenge put out on a fun DIY group I’m a part of to use a new product called Diva of DIY Chalk Mix on a piece of our choice. Since I’m in the throws of decorating I jumped at the chance, plus I love trying out new products.

Decorate Your Mantel

In my new home I have a large fireplace and mantel that I just love, but that’s where the TV is, too. I like that the TV and fireplace can both be the centerpiece of the room, but it’s hard to decorate a mantel around a TV. So, I’ve been checking around the web for some decorating options for this area.

Back To School Bucket List Idea

This would be fun for students to accomplish their goals this school year.

It’s been so fun to see all the back to school pictures I’ve been seeing on social media. Kids are so cute with their new clothes and backpacks. With a new school year comes new schedules and goals. I thought it would be fun to put together a Back To School Bucket List idea for the students in your life.

I bought the quart size paint cans at my local home improvement store for a few dollars. I think using an actual bucket or can will keep the bucket lists safe and creates a visual piece so the students will keep their goals in the forefront of their minds.

I’ve provided the following printables for your use, if you’d like to use them.

Accent Lighting Ideas

Small Lighting Ideas

Hello Friends! I just moved into a new home and am working on getting it put together and decorated. While I’m putting furniture and accessories into place I always try to keep accent lighting in mind. Even in a well lit room with good windows there can be corners and areas that always seem dark or could use a little lamp light to add some warmth. Here are a few examples of where I put accent lighting in my home.

French Bread Loaf Recipe

Don’t you love walking into a grocery store and smelling french bread baking? Many stores bake their french bread in the afternoon so they have fresh loaves for those shopping for dinner. I love the hard crust and soft insides of this yummy bread, plus, the price of a whole loaf only costs around $2.00 – $3.00.

I’ve gathered a bunch of french bread recipes from around the web to show all the options there are. I guarantee you’re going to want to go buy a loaf after seeing these recipes.
