Do you mind if we have an online therapy session? I want to talk about something personal and at times scary. Having Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) the last five years has been a struggle. It’s embarrassing, life changing, and exhausting. I don’t talk much about it to anyone because of the nature of the disease and I don’t want to make anyone feel uncomfortable, but I feel a need to share some of what I experience so I can talk to others who might suffer or educate those who don’t have any experience with IBS.

Dinner On Your Doorstep Gift Ideas

Happy Holidays Everyone! I truly hope you are feeling the spirit of Christmas in your life! I know I am! One reason I am enjoying Christmas so much this year is because of an amazing campaign we are a part of from mormon.org. “Light the World” encourages all of us to focus on service and showing our love for others (see the video in the sidebar on the right). I know when I focus on others, especially during a hard time in my life, I feel so much better and have so much more joy in my life. Serving, especially at Christmas, can give us a memorable holiday don’t you think?

Today I want to share this neat idea from Laura of pinkcakeplate.com, Dinner On Your Doorstep. I don’t know one person who wouldn’t appreciate having a meal brought to them and Laura has created some beautiful printables to help you give a meal to someone else.

Rustic Christmas Decor For Under $10

Rustic Christmas Table

I so love the popular rustic Christmas decor that is out now. Don’t you? I decorated my home last year with a lot of buffalo check and plaid and will be using it again this year and probably for years to come. I love the cozy feel of the look. It’s like being in a warm log cabin surrounded by my family while it’s snowing outside and sitting by a warm fire. To me that is the picture of Christmas.

I went on the hunt for some affordable decorations that will fit in almost any budget and thought I’d share what I found with you. I know I will be adding to my decor this year.

Stenciling On Plates and Mugs

Are you like me and have mixed feelings about the holiday season coming up? I love the holidays, but it’s always so much work. I am still trying to learn how to get everything done earlier, but there’s always those last minute things you have to do. So, I’ve been thinking about some gift ideas for neighbors and friends and think I’ve come up with a good idea…..personalizing and stenciling plates and mugs.

DIY Lined Basket

Hi Friends!

I’m starting to make plans for Thanksgiving. Are you? I love finding a new recipe or two to add to our traditional menu and ideas to decorate our Thanksgiving table.

Recently, I was given the opportunity to participate in a challenge, The Thankful Challenge. I jumped at the chance because I had a fun idea for a bread basket I planned on using for our Thanksgiving. But, now I can share it with all of you. Here’s what I made. An interchangeable DIY lined bread basket.

The Gift of Time

I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard others say, “I wish I had more time in my day”. Knowing me, if I had more time I would just fill it up with more unnecessary things. We all have busy lives full of important priorities and less important distractions, but is two more hours in our day the answer to getting more done? I don’t think so anymore. Here’s why:
