There’s nothing like a really good grilled cheese sandwich in any combination. I’ve put together a baked grilled cheese that is out of this world yummy. I highly recommend you trying this.
This recipe uses crescent rolls, cream cheese, three types of cheese, butter, and an egg.
Unroll the crescent rolls and divide in half width-wise. Place half of the dough in the bottom of an 8×8 inch ungreased pan. Seal the edges of the crescent rolls together.
Top with a layer of colby jack cheese, then a layer of swiss cheese, and then a layer of muenster cheese. Slice 4 oz. of cream cheese in thin slices and place over the other cheeses.
Slightly beat an egg and spread over the cheeses and cover with the the other half of the dough. Brush the melted butter over the top.
Pop it in the oven uncovered and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
It turns out so puffy and and is so tasty.
I love that this is so easy and fast to put together and is great for lunch or dinner.
