A few days ago we had the amazing opportunity to attend a blogger event at Salt of the Earth, a local Utah company who manufacture spa skin care products. We love supporting companies we believe in, especially when they’re local. We also love to hear stories about people who, through hard work and perseverance, take something small and turn it into a company they are proud of.
I have been needing a new toaster cover for a loooonnnng time. I’ve searched around online and many stores and couldn’t find one. Not sure why. Don’t people still use them? I thought about putting the toaster in a cabinet when I’m not using it, but I use it quite often and I didn’t want to keep having to pull it in and out. Plus, my toaster leaks crumbs and I didn’t want that mess in the cabinet.
I decided to make one. I thought it would be a little more complicated than it actually was, but it was super easy and took less than 30 minutes.
This year for my Halloween decor I wanted something different. I pulled out my old stuff and looked it over.

My summer was lovely for the most part. Full of family and great times. It started out with a huge stumbling stone, though, or should I say a boulder, or maybe mountain, to cross over.
Ashley, her kids, and I had been planning a two week trip to Oklahoma to see family and then to Branson, MO for some fun. We had just bought a new to us car and drove it to Kansas to spend a few days with Ashley and her family then head to Oklahoma from there.

Hello readers! Lately I have been working a ton, but now that it has slowed down a bit I have a chance to blog some more. I have been AWOL lately. I also have been really hooked on Ancesty.com and I have been trying to find out more about my paternal grandmothers history and man these ancestors of mine are sneaky!! But I did find this picture of my great great great grandfather Asa Moroni Beecher!
