Halloween Makeover

This year for my Halloween decor I wanted something different.  I pulled out my old stuff and looked it over.

There were the regular black, orange, and purple things that I’ve had for years.  I decided with some paint, fabric, and a couple of new things I was going to revamp my look. After some thought I pulled out some of the old pieces and went with an orange and green color scheme.

Here’s what I did:

Wreath Board Collage

I took this old sign and striped it with green and white paint.  I’m going to hang a wreath from it.

Wreath Collage

I spray painted this basic fall wreath green.  I like how there is a little orange peeking through adding to my color combo.

I painted and magically sparkled a “Halloween” chipboard banner and added it to the wreath.  Then I hung it onto my striped sign board.

Pumpkin Collage

I think everyone has at least one of these jack o lanterns.  With some white paint and a sparkly witch hat it’s totally changed the look.

Wood Piece

These wood primitive pieces used to be so popular.  I changed it up, too.

Skeleton Collage

My skeleton is orange and sparkly now.  I think the glitter adds an extra bit of fun to the mix.

Candlestick Collage

Black candlesticks, now green.

Spider Collage

The scary spider is now cute.

Now for the fun part!  Putting it all together.  I pulled a few items from my vintage collection, made a cozy warm felt pennant banner, and used some of the old Halloween pieces I already had.

Halloween 3

I already had the bottles I made a few years ago, had an orange Thermos, and topped it with a baby pumpkin.

A vintage music sheet about clowns (Clowns are scary, right?), a potion book I already had, and a jar of cute candy corns.

Halloween Sneek

I grabbed an old frame I had and added some scrapbook paper and the numbers I got from Hobby Lobby.

Here it is all together.  You can see the striped sign board behind the wreath.

This was so fun to put together.
