THIS IS THE WEEK! Are you as excited as the rest of the world is? Star Wars The Force Awakens has been long in coming. I have been wanting to re-watch all the previous movies before I see this new one, but I don’t have all of the DVD’s. No worries here, though, I found the perfect solution and I want to share it with you.
You may have heard about VidAngel, but if you haven’t it’s a streaming site where you can watch all the previous Star Wars movies for just a $1 per night with sellback. There has been no problems with the streaming or picture and a neat bonus is that the videos have been filtered so you can choose parts to skip over if you’d like. I thought I’d take some photos today to show you what Christmas looks like at our house. It always seems a little weird to open up my home to the public, but I’m happy with how it turned out. I love the cozy feel of it. Maybe I’m just wishing I could be in the mountains and snow in a warm cabin. Ya, I think that’s it. Welcome to my Christmas Home Tour 2015.
Cozy Christmas Frame

For Christmas this year I’ve been decorating in a cozy cabin kind of feel which includes the popular buffalo checks and plaids and woodsy types of elements. Here’s a peek of some of our decor. I hope to get a small home tour up tomorrow.
I thought it might be fun to cover a craft store frame with a wool sweater to add to my decor, so I went to my local thrift store and found a 100% wool sweater and washed it to shrink it. They call this technique “felting” because it shrinks the fibers and makes it feel more like felt. I’m thrilled with how my Cozy Christmas Frame came out. Here’s what I came up with.

I am such a casserole lover. How about you? I really like a meat and potatoes dish, but for me I love the combinations of good casseroles. This recipe for Banana Squash Casserole is a great one because it combines creamy goodness, chicken, and my favorite squash, yellow banana squash. I also like how versatile it is. It’s light and makes a great warm weather meal plus it is comforting and perfect for the colder months.

Hello Everyone! I am a huge fan of the holidays. Are you? However, decorating my home for each Fall and Winter Holiday can get overwhelming. I used to go all out for each special day, but it got to be too difficult and time consuming. I decided to simplify things, but yet create a fun atmosphere for my family. While I was weeding out items I no longer wanted to use I would either donate the items or pass them along to family members and friends. Storing all this stuff was also a problem, but not anymore.
This year I came up with an idea to create a statement piece that fills a lot of space and helps to create that Christmas feeling, but doesn’t take much room to store.
