At our Christmas parties we’ve usually played the “Pass the Present” game by reading “The Night Before Christmas” and every time the word “and” is said we pass our gift to the right. Or, we’ve done the number game, too, where everyone chooses a number out of a bowl and in number order you pick a present from a pile in the center of the room or pick a present someone has already opened and then that person has to pick again. You know. The same old, same old. Well, this year I’m changing things up a bit.
I love the dollar store! Whether it’s picking up a few necessities, a birthday card or gift bag, candy for the movies, giving the kids a few bucks to spend, or even finding some cute decor items I find myself there a lot. I can’t count the number of times I’ve used supplies from there to create crafts and home decor. Today’s theme is Dollar Store Crafts and I am looking forward to seeing what my fellow crafters come up with. Come join along.

Today we are focusing on Snowman Crafts and I’m pretty excited about seeing what everyone comes up with. I live in the deep south and we don’t get any snow even though the temperatures can get pretty cold, so I’m living vicariously through the beautiful snowy pictures I see all over the web. I’m from Utah, so I’ve lived in lots of snow, but there’s something about the first snow of the season and having the trees and ground covered in white during the holidays that I miss.
For today I’ve come up with a fun Snowman Kit to help decorate a snowman for you lucky people who have snow to play in.
