I am very fortunate to have a large porch. It’s a dream come true. The down side is that it’s hard to decorate, but I’m not complaining. Really small pieces don’t show up well, so I have to use larger pieces which I don’t have a lot of for use outside. This year I am relying on large green wreaths and lots of garland.
The wreaths are 24 inches and I added the large light up stars to add volume.
For the garland I intertwined two different kinds to give it some thickness. I probably could add more.
Luckily I had some huge plastic ornaments that I tripled up on the corners and added a big bow.
The awesome sled is my husband’s from when he was young. It adds some whimsy and fun to the porch. I just added some greenery to the top.
The lantern and poinsettias add some color. I love using old vintage items for pots. The old shoe shine box on legs gives the look some height.
I found this cute sign at Walmart that matches the look I’m going for. I was thrilled to find it.
Overall I really like what came together. Throughout this coming year I need to look for more vintage items to beef it up. I’m excited for the challenge, of course.
Also, if you’re looking for decorating ideas for inside here’s some fun ideas to display your Christmas cards.

How awesome that you have your husband’s childhood sled. Your porch is so festive and welcoming. I love that rug!!
Very festive! I love the classic green and red
All the decor looks so lovely next to those absolutely beautiful front doors!
Best,
Kelly
Your front porch is huge! You really are lucky. Everything looks beautiful. I love our home, but it is missing the large porch I want, maybe someday we’ll add it.
Your porch looks absolutely stunning. The vintage sled adds such a charming touch and those large ornaments are perfect accents. Well done.
