Christmas Bundt Pan Wreath

Hello!  Can you believe the holidays are just around the corner?  Have you started planning?  I’ve been trying to get an earlier start this year.  Ha! Easier said than done.  

This year I decided I wanted to change up a few of my Christmas decorations.  I’m a huge lover of vintage and recycling old things into something unique and new.  I also love creating things that are quick and easy.  Recently when I was at a local thrift shop I saw an old bundt cake pan and because of it’s shape I thought it would make a darling wreath for my kitchen.

DIY Book Page

Well, I pinned it awhile ago thinking, “Oh my gosh!! I just fell in love with it!! I love the quote. I love the styling. Just everything!! Most of the time I pin something and it gets forgotten and hidden away in my thousands of pins. (I’m not the only one that does this right!?) But I could not get this out of my head! There wasn’t a tutorial for it either, so I had to figure out how to put this together. I knew this was a book page blown up, but guys I have no idea how to do that! “LIGHT BULB!” I knew staples did engineer prints so WHA-LA instant blown up book page! YAY!

Gratitude Journals

Each of us is so very blessed and have so much to be grateful for.  Some times when we are going through rough times it helps to think about the good things in our lives.  What’s even better is writing down our blessings in a journal so that we can refer back to them when times are hard.

Recently our women’s group at church (Relief Society) got together for a Gratitude Dinner.  We had different soups, breads, and desserts.  An awesome video had been made beforehand interviewing several members about what they were thankful for.  Part of the evening was watching this together.  As a handout I prepared gratitude journals for everyone.  Here’s what I did.

“Simplify and Savor” Your Holidays

It’s always this time of year that I start feeling the stirrings of stress knowing that the holidays are just around the corner.  I tell myself that things are going to change the following year, but as I’m sure you can all relate, life gets busy and all our intentions of being better prepared and organized continues to be pushed off until the “following year”.  Not only that, I’m sad that I have been so tired in the past that I simply could not enjoy the spirit of the occasions.  Well, no more.  Seriously!
