Make Your Own Memory Jar

Do you have some special momentos lying in a box somewhere unseen and unremembered? Maybe some souvenirs of an unforgettable vacation or possibly pictures and keepsakes from your school days? Why not create some memory jars to display so you can remember all those meaningful times in your life.

I made a memory jar to celebrate the birth of my son and whenever I look at it displayed on a shelf in his room it reminds me how little he used to be and how grateful we are to have him in our lives.

Memory Jar

My baby Oli was in the NICU for 9 days after his birth and while he was there I collected so many things that I knew I would want to keep to remember what happened at his birth. I wanted to keep his going home outfit, a preemie diaper, our medical bands, plus all the other things you collect when having a baby. I thought a jar would be perfect, kind of a 360 degree display.

How to make a memory jar.

All you need to do is get a big glass jar with a lid, I got mine at Walmart for $7.00. Then fill it up with what is meaningful to you.

How cute would it be to have a whole shelf of these jars filled with sand and seashells, postcards, and ticket stubs from fun vacations.

It could be a way to remember a lost loved one or your graduation day.  Really it can be anything!!

If you end up making one I hope you come back and share what you did!

IF YOU LIKED THIS WOULD YOU PIN IT FOR US?
