It is the first day of school today and my girls are so excited to be in school again!
I wanted to share an easy snack idea.

Do you ever wonder what to do with all your zucchini, especially the ones that grow too big. I’ve got a yummy recipe that is rich and moist. Just yesterday my grandson, Connor, ate three slices.

This is a daily thing at our house, especially with the swimsuits.

Many of us have family members or children who live far away. While it’s hard not seeing them often enough there are so many ways to stay in touch.
Thank goodness for the technology we have today. Phone calls are obvious and necessary, but now we can use Skype and social media to stay connected.

Recently on a camping trip we were missing our family in Kansas so we had the kids sit down and make cards for their cousins. They were thrilled with the idea and it helped them to remember all the great times they had spent with their cousins.
We went camping this last week and so I haven’t had a chance to finish the project I wanted to post about today. So, instead I will share something I did a year ago, but it’s so cute I think you’ll like it!

Hey Everyone! I hope you’re having a great day! With school starting everywhere I thought I would show you a homework desk that might be useful for the students in your life.
I started with a serving tray I found at the thrift store. I painted it a bright yellow and added blue chalkboard paint to the top. Adding red washi tape around the edge completes the common school color theme. Adding a few vinyl encouraging words and a ruler completes the look.
To keep supplies handy I added two slide rails under the tray to hold the plastic storage bin. Your kids will have no excuse for not having everything they need and a place to study with this type of desk.
I know I’m a day late, but I had some internet issues, but its all good now so here I am!

It makes me so happy to have grand kids and being a part of their lives. In the past I haven’t had a fun place for them to play, so I got busy and did something about it. I turned one of my basement bedrooms into this:
