Christmas Countdown Day 10….

Ha! I love looking at our old photos we have used in our annual Christmas letter. Where does the time go? I thought it would be fun to frame them and hang them up for Christmas. I want to bring good memories in our home especially around Christmas. 

I grabbed some frames at the thrift store in the sizes I needed.

I took the glass out and painted them red. After cleaning the glass I framed all my photos and put them on the wall in a collage. I love it. I could stand and look at them for hours. They take me back in time to so many good memories.

Outside Christmas Decor

Do you decorate your door or front porch for the holidays?  It’s been a while since I did anything more than hang a wreath.  The last few years have been a hard one since losing my son and I haven’t had the motivation.  This year I thought I would go all out because it certainly helps my Christmas spirit, but also it was Jeremy’s favorite holiday.  He would have the lights on the house in October.  He was an outdoor lighting technician and was always so proud of the Christmas lights he would hang on huge, beautiful homes.  I remember the times he would drive us around to see them.  So many good memories!

DIY Book Page

Have you guys seen this on pinterest?

Well, I pinned it awhile ago thinking, “Oh my gosh!! I just fell in love with it!! I love the quote. I love the styling. Just everything!! Most of the time I pin something and it gets forgotten and hidden away in my thousands of pins. (I’m not the only one that does this right!?) But I could not get this out of my head! There wasn’t a tutorial for it either, so I had to figure out how to put this together. I knew this was a book page blown up, but guys I have no idea how to do that! “LIGHT BULB!” I knew staples did engineer prints so WHA-LA instant blown up book page! YAY!

DIY Scary Cloth

Its almost Halloween Y’all!

I have to admit I am not the biggest fan of this holiday, but I feel like because I’m a mom and I want my kids to have good memories of our holidays at home I am forcing myself to decorate more and be more festive for this Halloween season.

So, in my small town in the middle of nowhere its really hard to find things you want to decorate with. I had to improvise this year and I have to say it turned out pretty cool! Our neighborhood really stepped up this year with their decorations and we had to keep up right!? 🙂 No, but really it turned out really fun and I want to show you what we did. It was really inexpensive and super easy to put together.
