I have been so inspired by the Holiday Home Tours I have been seeing all over the web. There truly are some amazing and talented decorators out there and it’s fun to sit in the comfort of my own home and see all the lovely decorating. If you’d like to see an awesome home tour series go here to see Jennifer Rizzo’s annual home tour. Another part of her home tour is the link party where others can post photos of their homes. So, there is a ton of eye candy all in one place.
The past few years have been hard (For my story you can go here.) I haven’t had much in the way of the Holiday Spirit that I’ve missed so much. I decorated in bare minimums. This year I was determined to change that and knew how I decorated my home would make a huge difference in how I felt. I also decided to be brave and enter my decor in the link party.
I loved turning on the Christmas music, pulling out all my decorations, and taking the time to arrange things with a little more thought. It’s taken a lot of time, but I’m thrilled with my Christmas home. I’ve kept my family in the back of my mind through all of this and it’s exciting to create a visual wonderland for them. I’m excited to have them over on Christmas to add even more love to our home.
So, let’s begin. I previously posted about our front porch here. I love seeing it every day.
Just inside here is what you will see:
I decided to go with the traditional colors of red and green this year. I’m also a huge lover of anything vintage and combining both old and new.
Here’s one of our Christmas trees. I used my vintage ornaments that take me back in time.
Here’s a view of the other side of the living room.
I’m keeping this bowl handy full of tussy mussys ready to fill with treats when visitors come.
Here’s our antique drop leaf table in our entryway. I love, love, love my retro Santa.
I created a Hot Chocolate Bar in a little nook area of our home. You can see my post about it here.
Our dining room feels cozy. We love gathering here.
Some times I walk around my home and gather items like these crochet balls in the colors I’m using. Here’s a few other unconventional Christmas decor items. I posted about them here.
My kitchen is already with wreaths hanging on my cabinets with the plaid ribbon I’ve used throughout the rest of my decor.
I think this post has more photos I’ve ever put in a single post. Hope you don’t mind. Thanks for stopping by.
Merry Christmas and may joy and happiness come to everyone.
