Home Is Where Your Heart Is

As a family we have had the opportunity to travel to amazing places while my husband was serving in the Army.  I know that if it weren’t for the military we wouldn’t have had been able to see all the places we’ve seen or met the incredible people we have.

I’ve been wanting to create a wall map that shows all the great places we’ve lived.

I love my framed map and added the different alphabet letters to the top.

I used an old piece of trim to emphasize “Home Is”

For the heart pins I painted little hearts and glued push pins to the back.

This is such a fun addition to our home.  It brings back so many fun memories.  I think my next step is to find a way to highlight all the places we’ve visited.

Dru About Dru

There are so many things I could say but I will just start with the basics. Mother to 4. Grandmother to 11 (Yes, 11. All under the age of 9.) I am a former Army wife and we spent 15 years traveling around the world. It was such a thrill to have seen so many places and meeting lifetime friends. I spent many years working in the craft industry and love getting together with friends and creating. I have a lifelong love of thrift shops, antiques, and yard sales.
