Easter Ideas for Your Family

We have the wonderful opportunity to partner together with Sugardoodle and share a few Easter ideas with you. There are six amazing designs, but the two that really spoke to me are Heidi Swapp‘s envelopes that tell the Easter story.

Having THE TALK With Your Kids

(This post contains affiliate links.)

Well, let me tell you I was so not prepared when my girls came to me to ask about how babies were made. Literally I was in the bathroom cleaning and they both came in and I thought “gah”!! I don’t know if I want to tell you this!! But now a days kids are learning about this subject younger and younger and I didn’t want them to hear anything from school or friends first. I want them to hear the truth and understand everything.  I did make some rookie mistakes as you can tell from the pictures that I secretly took while I was telling them! Aren’t they amazing!? HA!

Classic Deviled Eggs Recipe

The Superbowl is this Sunday!! Who are you rooting for?

If you are like me you like to have lots and lots of finger foods on hand for the big day and one of my favorites is deviled eggs. I thought I would share with you my recipe for this yummy classic finger food. There is one difference I do with mine; I add smoked paprika on mine and I think it adds a nice kick, but if that doesn’t sound good to you then feel free to just use the normal paprika over the top.

5 Fast and Easy Midweek Dinners

In my family both my husband and I work full time, so when I get home from work I am faced with having to make dinner. How am I supposed to make a complete dinner and have it ready before 7pm!? So for awhile now we have been settling for mac and cheese and pizza and the go-to favorite breakfast for dinner and I can tell you I AM SO OVER IT and frankly so are the kids.

I have tried the crock pot meals, BUT I leave for work at 7am and don’t get home till 5pm that’s 10 hours! Most recipes only take 6-8 hours to cook, I literally thought about bringing my crock pot to work and just having it cook here at my desk, but no that’s just crazy. We have eaten take out, but that gets super pricey super fast. What other options are there except spaghetti, hot dogs and mac and cheese? Ugh!

I know I need to prep better and have freezer meals all ready to go in the oven, but until I get to that point, I found some fast and easy meals you can make from scratch in 30 minutes or less. I thought this would be helpful for other working moms, single moms/dads out there that have the same problem! I’m not the only one out there with the problem right!?
