Tuna Sandwich Anyone?

www.polkadotpoplars.com

Years ago a good friend of mine made me a tuna sandwich.  It wasn’t the typical sandwich I would normally make with pickles, etc.  This one was even better (I’m not a pickle and mustard fan.) and one I make all the time.  It’s got a sweet, delicious taste that I just love.

The difference……SHREDDED APPLE!

The apple keeps it moist so you don’t need to add as much mayo.

Tuna Sand

I’ve been trying to eat healthier so this fits right in to what I’m trying to do.

1 can of water packed tuna, 1 TBL. of fat free real mayo, 1/2 of a shredded apple

I mix this all together and put half the mixture on light wheat bread.  Top with lettuce and add the top.

Couldn’t get any easier and it’s so delicious!  Save the remaining mixture for the next day.

Dru About Dru

There are so many things I could say but I will just start with the basics. Mother to 4. Grandmother to 11 (Yes, 11. All under the age of 9.) I am a former Army wife and we spent 15 years traveling around the world. It was such a thrill to have seen so many places and meeting lifetime friends. I spent many years working in the craft industry and love getting together with friends and creating. I have a lifelong love of thrift shops, antiques, and yard sales.
