I think every room needs a table of some kind, whether it’s just to add to the decor, putting your drinks on, or just for putting your feet up. Tables can add a lot of personality to a room.
I have been looking for a small coffee table option for my living room, something not too big, but with personality. I had this suitcase in my flea market show inventory and decided it would be perfect. I found some perfect legs at the thrift store, drilled holes into the bottom of the case (Yikes! That was hard to do to such a lovely, old piece.), inserted the legs and screwed them in place.
I just cleaned it up a bit, added a tray and a few knick knacks, and put it into place. I love it! It’s also a perfect place to store older magazines or games.
