Christmas Chalkboard Wreath Supplies

Christmas Wreath Supplies

  • Pizza Pan (I got mine at Dollar Tree.)
  • Chalkboard Paint (Found at Walmart or any craft store.
  • 4-6 Sheets of Green Cardstock
  • Holly Leaf Pattern (included)
  • Glue Gun
  • Small Red Ornaments (Found at Dollar Tree.)
  • Ribbon
  • Sand Paper
  • Chalk

Christmas Chalkboard Wreath Instructions

  • Lightly sand the pizza pan and wipe clean.
  • Paint the center of the pan with chalkboard paint. I painted two coats. Let dry.

Pizza Pan Chalkboard

  • Rub the side of a piece of chalk onto the chalkboard finish to prepare the surface. Wipe off with a dry cloth or eraser.
  • Using this Holly Leaf pattern cut out approximately 40-50 leaves by tracing the pattern several times on the green paper. I was able to put two pieces of green card stock together to speed up the process.
  • Fold each of the leaves in half lengthwise.
  • Using a glue gun glue the holly leaves around the edge of the pan overlapping the leaves as shown in this picture.

Pizza Pan Christmas Wreath

  • Continue gluing the first layer of holly leaves all the way around the edge of the pan.
  • Start gluing the second layer of leaves overlapping them further apart on top of the first layer all the way around the edge.

Holly Leaf Wreath

  • Once the leaves are attached bend the top leaves up to give a more three dimensional look.
  • Attach two leaves at an angle to the wreath on the side.
  • Glue three small red ornaments to form the holly berries.
  • Glue a knotted ribbon underneath the berries.

Paper Holly Leaves

  • Add a loop of ribbon to the back of the pan to hang, if desired.

I really love how the wreath came out and it’s how I imagined it to be. I love when that happens. It’s also a super easy and inexpensive craft for all ages.

Dru About Dru

There are so many things I could say but I will just start with the basics. Mother to 4. Grandmother to 11 (Yes, 11. All under the age of 9.) I am a former Army wife and we spent 15 years traveling around the world. It was such a thrill to have seen so many places and meeting lifetime friends. I spent many years working in the craft industry and love getting together with friends and creating. I have a lifelong love of thrift shops, antiques, and yard sales.

  1. I am always looking at those pans at the dollar store and trying to come up with ideas for them, I love this! And I already have chalkboard paint on hand… #12DaysofChristmas2018

  2. Love this idea! And you could change the word throughout the holiday! Or you could even have more than one of them scattered through the house, all have a different holiday related word.
