Arrow Wreath in 15 Minutes!

Now that the holidays are over and I have taken all my Christmas down my house is looking back to normal. I don’t usually go overboard on decorating for the holidays, Christmas is the exception, of course.  I’m a very minimalist decorator and not really into all the clutter, so for Valentines I wanted something that fits into my decor. Nothing fru fru ya know!

Santa Stop Here

This is a easy and fun little craft idea for the kiddos in  your life. If you’re like us you’re always trying to find cute ideas for them to make at a party or while they’re home on Christmas break. As you know those low attention spans can drive you crazy, but if you’re prepared with things like this life is much more fun. This Santa Stop Here sign will really get them excited.

To make sure that Santa stops at our homes we had to make these quick signs to hang in the window so he knows for sure where we live. 😉 Wouldn’t it be awful if he got lost?

Flocked Ribbon Ideas

Hi Everyone!  Welcome to our Christmas Countdown!  The next 25 days will be full of ideas and fun on our blog.  We are so excited you are here.

In the past I have not been a fan of the old fashioned flocked ribbon.  I think it’s because it is only one sided, seamed cheap looking, and is stiff.  I decided to give it another try.  You know what?  I kind of like (love) it now.  I love the look of velvet and flocked ribbon is a close second.  It’s very inexpensive, which is a bonus, and easy to find.

Here are some ways I have used it to embellish presents.  I love the look of Kraft and red together.  It feels so natural and Kraft paper is so inexpensive and versatile.  For smaller gifts I use painter’s paper found in hardware stores because it’s thinner and easier to use.  I’m also loving the new My Mind’s Eye Joyous line.  I used several items to help embellish my packages.
