Old Clock, New Clock

Hello Readers! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I sure did, my family came up to help us celebrate our girl’s birthday and to bless our new baby. It was so great to have everyone here to support us!

Also our baby Oli smiled for the first time! (On purpose! Not just gas bubbles!!! YAY!)

Look at those cheeks!

Anyways enough about me,

I have been in the process of redoing my twins bedroom and I wanted to share this project.

I found this clock at a local DI and I guess I have a thing for clocks cause I have a TON, but I wanted kind of a statement piece for one of the walls in the girls room and I thought the clock would be perfect, but it was totally the wrong style so I lightened it up a bit and put my own spin on it.

I took the arms off the front and then primed and painted it white.

Then I cut out about 50 strips of scrapbook paper about 1 inch wide and 2 inched long and then rounded one of the corners.

Then I modge podged them starting on the outside ring and then on the next ring in I overlapped the strips. (Kinda like shingles on a roof)

When I had gotten to the middle I cut out about a 4 inch circle and punched a hole in the middle for the clock screw and then Mod Podged that on top. Then I added the arms back on. That’s it!

I love Mod Podge!
