I was motivated by a group I am in to get some planting done. I’m hoping this gives me a head start so I can get on to some vegetable and other flower gardening I need to do. Each month this group finds something from a thrift store, garage sale or resale store to refurbish and give it a new use. To see what it’s all about read below. I think quiche has gotten a bad wrap in the past. Many don’t even know what it is let alone have tasted it. Quiche is a delicious savory egg pie filled with good things like breakfast meats, cheese and vegetables and put into a pie crust. There are a variety of ways to make it depending on how simple or elaborate you want to make it. Special treats and goodies are one of the best things about the holidays. Do you have special recipes that you only make during Christmas. We do, but I always research other yummy recipes to add and this Almond Crisp cookie is one I’ve been wanting to try. I was really surprised at how easy it was to make and it’s super tasty. I think a Christmas tree is the centerpiece decoration in your home during the holidays. It says a lot about you, your style and what is important to you. I’ve had a variety of looks through the years including an old fashioned country look including things my kids made, a rustic cabin look and an elegant modern Victorian vibe. I will usually use the same decorations for several years until I get itchy to do something new. Well, this year is that year and I’ve gathered several beautiful new ornaments and created a Wood tone and silver Christmas tree. I think it’s one of my favorites! One of our favorite things to do during the holidays is watch Christmas movies. There are many that we watch over and over again and still enjoy them as much as the first time we watched them. There is something about Christmas movies that put me into the spirit of the holidays, takes me back to times our family watched the movie together and brings out emotions and memories. Our theme today is “Movies” so I came up with a Christmas movie gift idea that you can do for most movies. Starting as a child, through my growing years and still today I have loved playing and crafting with wood pieces. It started with popsicle sticks and clothespins and little bags of wood turning pieces found in the craft store. So today for my ornament idea I thought I would bring out the wood pieces and create clothespin snowflake ornaments. My grandchildren are starting to hit the teenage years and few are already there. I am completely clueless about what they might want for Christmas. So, while I was looking for them I decided that one of my gift guides would be gift ideas for teens just in case you might need some ideas, too.
