Thanksgiving Blessing Mix

Thanksgiving is all about spending time with family and gathering around a table of good food. It’s one of my most favorite holidays.

If you’re looking for a gift idea or giveaway for Thanksgiving we might have the answer. Anything with food in it always is a hit. How about a blessing mix?

Gratitude Journals

Each of us is so very blessed and have so much to be grateful for.  Some times when we are going through rough times it helps to think about the good things in our lives.  What’s even better is writing down our blessings in a journal so that we can refer back to them when times are hard.

Recently our women’s group at church (Relief Society) got together for a Gratitude Dinner.  We had different soups, breads, and desserts.  An awesome video had been made beforehand interviewing several members about what they were thankful for.  Part of the evening was watching this together.  As a handout I prepared gratitude journals for everyone.  Here’s what I did.

Paper Feather Tutorial

Happy Fall Y’all!  I am so enjoying the cooler weather, the changing leaves, and the thought of the holidays around the corner.  Do you believe it’s already that time of year?

I finally completed my Halloween decorations which is a first for me.  I’m usually waiting until the last second.  While I’m on a roll I decided to get a head start on Thanksgiving.  I don’t think I’m going to do much other than some pumpkins, leaves, and these paper feathers I’ve been making.  Feathers and arrows are such a fun current trend.  Here are a few I’ve finished that I think I will keep in my decor even after Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Appetizers

Can you believe it’s less than one week til Thanksgiving?  I love this holiday, but then there’s the thought in the back of my mind that Christmas follows shortly after and I’m not anywhere near ready.  But, I’m trying to make an effort to enjoy each holiday and not blend them or hurry them along.

Anyway, I’ve been preparing my shopping list for Thanksgiving dinner.  Do you have people hanging out in the kitchen sneaking a bite or two or three of the things you’re making like I do?  I’ve always had a few snacks, but nothing significant, so I’m fixing that this year.

I’ve got a variety of ages I need to please so I’ve gathered some fun recipes from around the web I think will work for all ages.  Don’t these look yummy and fun.  Thought I’d share what I found.
