DIY Lined Basket

Hi Friends!

I’m starting to make plans for Thanksgiving. Are you? I love finding a new recipe or two to add to our traditional menu and ideas to decorate our Thanksgiving table.

Recently, I was given the opportunity to participate in a challenge, The Thankful Challenge. I jumped at the chance because I had a fun idea for a bread basket I planned on using for our Thanksgiving. But, now I can share it with all of you. Here’s what I made. Cozy Christmas Frame

For Christmas this year I’ve been decorating in a cozy cabin kind of feel which includes the popular buffalo checks and plaids and woodsy types of elements. Here’s a peek of some of our decor. I hope to get a small home tour up tomorrow.

A cozy cabin feeling Christmas

I thought it might be fun to cover a craft store frame with a wool sweater to add to my decor, so I went to my local thrift store and found a 100% wool sweater and washed it to shrink it. They call this technique “felting” because it shrinks the fibers and makes it feel more like felt. I’m thrilled with how my Cozy Christmas Frame came out. Here’s what I came up with.

Ikea Straw Bag Hack

Have you been thinking about gift ideas for Christmas like I have? I am a big fan of giving gifts that are homemade or have my personal touch on them. I think it means so much to the receiver to have been given a gift that I’ve put some thought and time into.
